Esterline Buys Memtron In Bid For Aerospace Work

BELLEVUE - Esterline Technologies has acquired privately held Memtron Technologies, which provides switches and panels for medical and industrial computer and other markets. No price was disclosed.

The Frankenmuth, Mich.-based company will be operated by Esterline's Seattle-based Korry Electronics subsidiary but will continue at its present location with no significant changes in operations or personnel.

Wendell Hurlbut, Esterline's chief executive officer, said Memtron's panel technology will give Korry's aerospace and defense markets a broader base. Esterline provides engineered products for aircraft, aerospace and defense industries and other instrumentation.
