Q: John Denver had such an intriguing public and private life and a huge following prior to his death that he would seem a natural for a made-for-television movie or other documentary special. Anything in the works?

A: In the "other documentary" category "John Denver: The E! True Hollywood Story" aired May 10 on cable's E! channel. The profile included Denver songs and interviews with family and friends, including first wife Annie and longtime friend Dennis Weaver. No plans for a TV movie have been announced.

Q: Please save my marriage! Was there a show, sometime in the '70s, called "Dusty's Trail"? It starred Bob Denver and several other castaways from "Gilligan's Island" on a wagon train in the 1800s. It was an obvious "Island" spoof and only lasted a few months.

A: "Dusty's Trail," from "Gilligan" creator Sherwood Schwartz, was a syndicated offering in 1973 about a wagon-full of passengers separated from the rest of the wagon train. Bob Denver again played the bumbling "little buddy" to Forrest Tucker's gruff wagonmaster. Jeannine Riley and Lori Saunders from "Petticoat Junction" were two of the stranded passengers.

Q: Didn't Megan Gallagher of "Millennium" once star in a sitcom some years ago?

A: The actress, who started on TV as Officer Tina Russo on "Hill Street Blues" (1986-87), has done a couple of comedies.
