No Mechanical Failure In Plane Crash
BREMERTON - Investigators have found no sign of mechanical failure in a plane crash that killed five people, including four sky divers, at Bremerton National Airport last fall.
Gregg Nesemeier, a National Transportation Safety Board investigator, said Wednesday he has reached no conclusions and that his final report should be ready in about a month.
The Cessna 182 slammed into the ground shortly after taking off from Bremerton National on Sept. 1. The aircraft was owned by a Eatonville man and leased to Blue Skies Skydiving Adventures, a Shelton-based company that teaches skydiving and sponsors skydiving events.
Killed were the pilot, Dan Crowe, 26, of Oregon City, Ore.; and sky divers Walter Yoho, 58, of Port Orchard; Jason Hall, 19, Fort Lewis; Tommy Lenttz, 39, Aberdeen; and Angie Gardner, 23, Olympia.
