Houston Company Buying Seattle's Heath Printers
SEATTLE - Heath Printers, founded in 1954, has agreed to be purchased by Consolidated Graphics of Houston.
No price was disclosed.
Heath, one of Seattle's leading printers, was the first company in the state with a six-color press and has been a leader in other printing innovations.
Top leadership of the company at 1617 Boylston Ave. - including Nancy Zylstra, president; Brian Jaeger, sales manager; and Bryan Miller, plant manager - will remain with the company.
Consolidated Graphics purchased another Seattle printer, Emerald City Graphics, about two years ago. It is buying other printing companies throughout the U.S.
With its acquisitions of Heath and Columbia Lithograph of Los Angeles, it will own 31 companies with annual revenue exceeding $290
million.
