Adrian Paul To Star In `Highlander' Movie

Q: Please tell us what former "Highlander" leading man Adrian Paul is doing now. He should be a Hollywood leading man. Is he from Scotland?

A: Paul recently signed to star in a new "Highlander" feature film, the fourth installment in the movie series. He's played the 400-year-old Scotsman Duncan MacLeod on "Highlander: The Series" since 1992. The 38-year-old actor was born in London to an Italian mother and British father. He worked as a model, dancer and choreographer before coming to America in the 1980s. His first United States acting job was on "The Colbys," as Russian ballet dancer Kolya. He and his wife of seven years, Meilani, one of the Diet Pepsi "Uh-Huh" girls, divorced earlier this year.

Q: I really like the oldest daughter, Kenlon, on "The Tom Show." Can you give me her mailing address and tell me something about her?

A: Lisa Wilhoit has some strong family ties to the TV industry. Her grandfather scored music for some classic TV shows including "The Fugitive" and "The FBI." Her father is a sound-effects editor whose credits include the new "Home Alone 3" and "Jerry Maguire." And her cousins, Dylan and Tommy, were featured on "Full House" as the twin sons of Jesse and Becky (John Stamos and Lori Loughlin). Her own credits include "Hook" (as baby Tinkerbell), "My So-Called Life" (as Claire Danes' younger sister, Danielle), and last season's UPN sitcom "Social Studies." Besides acting, Lisa is an accomplished gymnast and equestrian. Write to her c/o GML Associates, 3500 W. Olive Ave., Burbank, CA 91505.

Q: My daughter says Sheree J. Wilson, who appears on "Walker, Texas Ranger," never played Ben's daughter on the old "Matlock" series. Is she right?

A: Wilson was April Stevens on "Dallas" for five seasons, but she never co-starred with Andy Griffith on his "Matlock" series. Linda Purl played daughter Charlene on "Matlock" from 1986-87, then Brynn Thayer played Ben's daughter Leanne from 1993-95. There is, however, a Matlock/Walker connection. Clarence Gilyard played Matlock's assistant Conrad McMaster (1989-93) before portraying Texas Ranger James Trivette on "Walker, Texas Ranger."

Q: I read that Peter Jennings was engaged. Did he get married?

A: The "ABC World News" anchor wed "20/20" producer Kayce Freed earlier this month. It's his fourth marriage.

Q: About two years ago PBS aired a two-part movie called "Moll Flanders." The actress who played Moll looks just like Alex Kingston of "ER." Is there any connection? Will PBS re-air the movie? Can I buy it?

A: British actress Alex (short for Alexandra) Kingston was the star of the critically acclaimed "Moll Flanders" miniseries, seen in the United States as part of PBS's "Masterpiece Theatre." She joined the cast of "ER" this fall as Dr. Elizabeth Corday, the British visiting surgeon who's been giving Dr. Benton (Eriq La Salle) fits. She trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London and spent her early years in repertory theater across England. She was married to Oscar-winning actor Ralph Fiennes ("`Schindler's List"). They split up in 1995. A replay of "Moll Flanders" isn't scheduled at this time, but you can purchase the two-set video for $29.95 (plus $4.95 shipping and handling) by calling 1-800-255-9424.
