Age: 48.
Residence: Snohomish.
Occupation: Advertising account executive for mortgage trade journal.
Family: Married; six children.
Education: Bachelor's degree and teaching certificate, Western Michigan University.
Endorsements: None.
Reason for running: The Snohomish School District is in a critical situation due to rapid growth and shifting priorities. I have three children still to go through the schools and want to ensure that they are provided with the best educational opportunities possible.
Top three priorities:
1. New schools are inevitable due to the growth of the student population. The construction must be handled carefully so as to neither disrupt nor bankrupt our community.
2. The quality of the teaching staff must be maintained in spite of the stresses of expansion.
3. The district must be fiscally responsible and use available funds in the most prudent manner.
