All-State Baseball -- 11 Players From Wesco Picked For All-Star Series

Eleven players from the Western Conference - six from WesCo AAA, five from WesCo AA - have been selected to play in the all-state baseball series.

The four-game series for graduating seniors starts Saturday with two games at Eastmont High School in East Wenatchee. The Class AA/A Nationals open the series at 1 p.m. against the AAA/B Nationals. The AA/A Americans face the AAA/B Americans at 4 p.m. The losers meet Sunday at 10:30 a.m.; the winners square off at 1 p.m.

Two players from Cascade were named to the Class AAA/B team, but they won't be teammates this weekend. Second baseman Bryan Ingram was named to the AAA/B Nationals; third baseman Jeff Anabel was placed on the AAA/B Americans roster.

Sehome first baseman Adam Kim was placed on the AAA/B Nationals team. Named for the AAA/B Americans were second baseman James Jeske of Edmonds-Woodway, pitcher Scott Stencil of Everett and shortstop Nick Lind of Mount Vernon.

Two Lynnwood players, third baseman Adam McNally and second baseman Josh Allen, were named to the AA/A Americans team. They'll be joined by Lake Stevens catcher Brandon Mauer.

Selected for the AA/A Nationals were Meadowdale pitcher Courtney Hill and Cedarcrest shortstop Mark Haug.

Newport, the Class AAA state champion, has one representive on the all-state rosters. He is second baseman Marc Rittenhouse.
