Smithsonian Exhibit To Visit Portland In 1997

PORTLAND - The Smithsonian Institution's traveling exhibit will visit Portland in the spring of 1997, Metro has announced.

The exhibit will visit 12 sites in two years as part of the museum's 150th-anniversary celebration.

Metro, the agency that owns the Portland Expo Center, will host the exhibit March 28 to May 6.

The Expo Center will undergo a $13.5 million expansion to accommodate the exhibit.
