Woman Pleads Guilty In Hit-Man Case
SEATTLE - A 22-year-old Renton woman has pleaded guilty to trying to hire a friend to kill her parents and brother.
Wendy Josette Gregory had given a videotape of her parents' Moscow, Idaho, home - detailing entrances, exits and a family safe - to the man who was to carry out the crime, according to a plea agreement presented in federal court yesterday.
Gregory was arrested in early March and charged with soliciting murder for hire after a friend told police about the plan. Gregory planned the killings to collect insurance benefits, the friend told police.
Gregory said she had stolen checks from her parents' account to finance the $1,200 advance for the killings. Gregory, who will be sentenced in July, faces up to 15 years in prison and $375,000 in
fines.
