Tacoma Man Pleads No Contest To Murder Charge In Ore. Killing
MEDFORD - A 23-year-old Tacoma man pleaded no contest yesterday to aggravated murder in the slaying of an Oregon man during a robbery last March.
Donald Pitchforth entered the plea in Jackson County Circuit Court in exchange for the prosecution promising not to seek a death penalty, said District Attorney Mark Huddleston.
Pitchforth was one of three people involved in the slaying of Donald McMillen, 53, of White City. The other two have been convicted and are in prison.
Huddleston said he expects Pitchforth to get a life prison term when Pitchforth is sentenced in two weeks.
