Issaquah Man Arraigned In Slaying Of Family In Oregon

SALEM - David Whitson was arraigned today before a Marion County judge on charges of aggravated murder in the shooting deaths of his estranged wife and their three young daughters.

Whitson, 36, of Issaquah was indicted Tuesday by a grand jury. He is accused of killing his wife, Laura Whitson, and their daughters, Sarah, 6; Rachel, 2; and April, 6 months, on Sept. 11 in Scotts Mills.

Prosecutors filed a total of eight murder counts because they are pursuing two theories: that multiple slayings were involved and that the slayings were committed during a burglary.
