Ex-Wife Sued Over Murder Plot

KENNEWICK - A Kennewick man is suing his former wife for $100,000 in damages for plotting with her lover to kill him and collect $1.2 million in insurance money.

Kenneth Harris has accumulated $18,000 in psychiatric bills and suffered emotional damage since authorities unraveled the scheme masterminded by a Pasco man, Dale Norwick, according to the lawsuit filed in Benton County.

Norwick, 43, is serving a 33-year sentence on conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

Kathe Lee, Harris' ex-wife, testified against Norwick in the March jury trial in exchange for immunity.

Lee testified that Norwick, her lover since 1991, persuaded her to marry Harris, to get him heavily insured and then to set him up to be killed.
