Starwave, Espn Team Up To Take Final Four Online

A new partnership combining Starwave Corp.'s interactive computer-products expertise with ESPN Enterprises Inc.'s sports reporting and analyzing skills will give college basketball fans Internet access to the NCAA Final Four men's basketball tournament.

Jon Sage, Starwave marketing director, said yesterday the new service will debut at the start of the Final Four, which will take place April 1 and 3 in the Kingdome.

In addition to ESPN personalities, users will see interactive player cards, a variety of online discussion areas, informational graphics and analyses.

Starwave, owned by billionaire Paul Allen, is a Bellevue company that creates interactive consumer products and services.
