Two Arrested In Shooting Death

MOUNT VERNON - Two Skagit County residents have been arrested on warrants accusing them in the slaying of a man found shot to death on a county road near Concrete last week.

County sheriff's Deputy Harry Hemphill said Lynda Holman, 30, and Travis Cargile, 21, were arrested on first-degree-murder warrants as they tried to return to the United States from Canada at Sumas, Whatcom County.

The two were accused in the death of Floyd Robert England, 59.

England, who lived in his 1976 Ford Econoline van, was last seen alive in Concrete-area bars with a man and woman later identified as Cargile and Holman, Hemphill said.
