State Trooper Hurt In Accident

SEATTLE - State trooper Ronald Tuggle, 38, was in satisfactory condition early today in Harborview Medical Center as a result of injuries he sustained when his patrol car was demolished by a pickup truck being towed.

Tuggle suffered a broken leg, broken arm and hand and bumps and bruises, the patrol said.

He was northbound on the Maple Valley Road shortly before 6 p.m. yesterday when the pickup truck, which was being towed by a rental truck, crossed the center line near the Cedar Grove Road and struck the patrol car head-on, sending it into a ditch.

The pickup truck then spun around and struck another car, the patrol said.

The rental truck was driven by Craig Calibuso, 27, of

Ravensdale.
