Porn-Film Prank Costs Football Team
PHOENIX - Horizon High School's football team was supposed to be going over Xs and Os and watching film of its next opponent. But the tape the players were viewing had all the Xs above the title.
One player's practical joke resulted in the suspension of 29 players. That will left Horizon's seventh-ranked Huskies with just seven regular starters for last night's game at sixth-ranked Mesa Westwood. Horizon had just 16 varsity players left.
A Horizon player, who wished to remain anonymous, said a coach entered a room in the football office at the northeast Phoenix school and saw an adult film on the TV, not Trevor Browne High School's team, Horizon's opponent the following night.
A player had brought a pornographic film to the school and slipped it into the videocassette recorder while the coaches were out of the room.
