Dead Man Was A Fugitive
SEATTLE - A man found dead in a University District apartment Saturday was one of the most highly sought criminals in the nation, according to the U.S. Marshal's Service.
Investigators suspect that Peter Hall, 31, who was wanted for a slew of drug and violence-related charges in five jurisdictions, may have been the victim of an "execution-style killing."
Police discovered Hall's body when they entered a University District apartment late Saturday after receiving an anonymous tip.
The King County medical examiner's office would not confirm the Marshal's Service report because it had not been able to notify the victim's next of kin.
Hall was a suspected drug dealer, trafficking large quantities of cocaine and marijuana, according to the Western District of the Marshal's Service.
One of the nation's "top 15 fugitives," he was also a suspect in two slayings in Virginia - one in July 1993, the other in May 1993. In November, Hall was nearly arrested in Atlanta but escaped after allegedly trying to run over Drug Enforcement Agency officers.
