Henry Bacon Acquired By Bmc West For Cash, Stock
SEATTLE - BMC West Co., a distributor and retailer of building materials, will acquire the assets and locations of Henry Bacon Building Materials Inc. for an undisclosed amount of cash and BMC stock.
BMC plans to relocate two of its local operations to the locations. The Bellevue store will be moved to Issaquah and its Everett operation will relocate in Marysville. In addition, BMC will take over a Henry Bacon outlet in Kent. BMC also operates a store in Tacoma.
BMC officials cited the need for more space, and said the acquisitions would help it serve customers from Olympia to the Canadian border.
BMC owns 48 stores across several Western states. Its total annual sales are $476 million.
