Sno-King Arson Task Force Honored
The Sno-King Arson Task Force has received the Outstanding Accomplishment Award from the International Association of Arson Investigators for work that led to the conviction of serial arsonist Paul Keller.
It's the highest award given by the group, which annually recognizes work considered progressive and successful. The group consists of more than 8,000 agencies throughout the world.
Special Agent Dane Whetsel of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Lt. Randy Litchfield of the Seattle Fire Department, the two men who lead the task force, were given awards of recognition.
Keller is expected to spend the rest of his life in prison after being convicted of scores of arsons in four counties during a six-month spree that ended in early 1993.
