Bremerton Shipyard Worker Dies In Crane Accident On Nimitz

BREMERTON - A worker was killed this morning in an accident involving a portable crane at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton.

The accident occurred about 9 a.m. on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, moored at Pier B in the shipyard.

Cause of the accident is under investigation. The name of the man was withheld pending notification of his family.
