Sounders Sign Pair From Area Schools

The Seattle Sounders have signed three players, two of whom went to local high schools.

The Sounders of the American Professional Soccer League signed midfielders Billy Colello and Derek Crothers and forward Erik Storkson.

The 5-foot-9, 165-pound Colello graduated from Mount Rainier High School in 1989.

The 6 foot 2, 200-pound Storkson graduated from Lindbergh High School in 1988.

Crothers, 6-foot, 185, has played with the Seattle Storm and Washington Rain.

The Sounders have an intrasquad scrimmage scheduled for today at 5 p.m. at Redmond's 60 Acres Field No. 14.
