Nalley's Fine Foods To Be Bought By Hormel

AUSTIN, Minn. - Hormel Foods Corp. plans to buy Nalley's Fine Foods Division of Tacoma and Nalley's Canada Ltd., the company said yesterday.

Terms and sale price were not disclosed.

Nalley's, owned by Curtice-Burns Inc. of Rochester, N.Y., processes and markets a line of foods including chili, stew, microwave meals, salad dressings, pickles, peanut butter, dips and salsa.

As part of the deal, Hormel, a meat and food processor, will acquire four Nalley's plants in Tacoma and one in Vancouver, B.C.
