8 Stages Of Fun At Folklife Festival
More than 6,000 participants, including musicians and dancers representing more than 100 countries, are entertaining on 17 stages during Northwest Folklife Festival at the Seattle Center, 11 a.m. to midnight today through Monday (free).
Every year the festival showcases the traditions, heritage and contemporary issues of a particular culture. "African-American Traditions: Prelude to a New Age" is the theme of exhibits at The Folklife Museum in the Pavilion, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today through Monday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through June 5.
