Starbucks To Open Its Biggest Store At U Village
SEATTLE - Starbucks Coffee has signed a lease with University Village for a 3,300-square-foot store - the largest for the company. Opening in early July in the space formerly occupied by Key Bank, it will replace an existing, 1,000-square-foot store already there.
The flagship store will have indoor and outdoor seating for about 70 people and two barista stations. An expanded retail section will provide room for displays and espresso demonstrations.
"We think this is a natural progression for Starbucks and the Village," said Jocelyn Clements, general manager of the center near Northeast 45th Street and 25th Avenue Northeast. "Starbucks has outgrown its current location and our customers want an expanded store," she said.
