Lincoln Named Chairman At Nintendo Of America
REDMOND - Howard Lincoln, senior vice president of Nintendo of America has been elected chairman of the U.S. subsidiary of Nintendo Co., of Kyoto, Japan.
He will join Minoru Arakawa, president of Nintendo of America, on the company's U.S. board of directors and together they will manage the company.
Lincoln's appointment "will strengthen Nintendo of America's management structure in the face of intense competition in the U.S. home video game market," said Hiroshi Yamauchi, president of the parent company.
With Nintendo since 1983, Lincoln will help lead the entry of the company's new 64-bit home-video game system, scheduled for introduction next year.
