Banking/Credit Unions: Peter Van Oppen, president and chief executive officer of Interpoint Corp., was appointed to the Advisory Council on Small Business and Agriculture of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Lola Kelly was named branch manager of the Beacon Hill branch and Dennis McCurley was named vice president and district manager of the Central Sound District for First Interstate Bank of Washington. Jo McLaren will specialize in construction lending as vice president of builder banking for Columbia Bank. Robert Arbuckle was promoted from assistant to the president to chief operations officer, Kay Cummings was promoted from vice president of operations and controller to chief financial officer and Bob Schweigert was named vice president of lending and loan control for Washington Credit Union. Designers: Andrew Anderson joined Art Anderson Associates as a naval architect.

High-technology: Dion Long will be responsible for sales activities worldwide as director of sales for Spry Inc. Alan Hord was named director of animation for Sebring C.A.D. Services, a computer-aided drafting service. Law: Michael Larson, a partner with Casey & Pruzan, was elected treasurer of the Washington State Bar Association. Manufacturing: David Altshuler was named regional sales manager for Heart Interface. Organizations: Donna Schneider, human resources manager for Northwest Healthcare Systems, was elected president of the Seattle Chapter of the Northwest Human Resource Management Association. Don McGinnis, assistant vice president and commercial loan officer for Seafirst Bank, was elected president of the Northwest Venture Group.

Retail: Patti Bowden will be responsible for product distribution and managing the national sales force as national sales manager for Kasilof Fish Co. Carl Behnke, president of R.E.B. Enterprises and chairman of Skinner Corp., was appointed to the board of directors for International Yogurt Co. Jerry Chevassus was named region four retail director for Recreational Equipment Inc.
