Sears To Close Remainder Of Its Catalog Outlet Stores

CHICAGO - Sears, Roebuck and Co., which abandoned its 106-year-old catalog earlier this year, will close the last of its catalog outlet stores by the end of September.

Included are stores in Seattle, Tacoma and Kent. Sears already has closed 24 of the original 91 outlet stores, which sold surplus merchandise from its catalog operation.
