Home Depot To Open Its First Seattle Store Tomorrow
Competition for the dollars Seattleites spend on hammers, hacksaws and staple guns heats up this week with the opening of Home Depot's first Seattle store.
Tomorrow, Atlanta-based Home Depot will open a 108,000-square-foot store at 2701 Utah Ave. S. Home Depot, which has a format similar to Tukwila-based Eagle Hardware, plans to open 10 more stores in Washington by 1995.
Home Depot's first Washington store opened in Tacoma in January. The company has more than 200 stores nationwide.
