Three Men Charged In Murder, Rape

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Three men identified more than a month ago as suspects in the slaying of a teenager and the rape of his girlfriend were indicted yesterday.

A Klamath County grand jury handed down charges of aggravated murder, murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, rape, sodomy and assault against Orville Rondeau, 18; Justin Harrington, 22, and Benjamin Hicks, 20, all of Klamath County.

They are accused of killing Kenneth Dylan Lambert, 17, and raping his 18-year-old girlfriend on June 1. Authorities have said Lambert and the young woman were parked along the side of a road on the night before his birthday when three men came along and began shooting at a sign.

The woman told investigators the men forced them into the trunk of a car. She later was released in town. Lambert was killed by a blow to the head and his body was found buried in a gravel pile east of Klamath Falls.
