9 Jobs To Be Lost At The Bon Marche

SEATTLE

Federated Department Stores, parent company of The Bon Marche, will centralize mail orders and accounts payable at its home office in Cincinnati, resulting in the loss of 36 jobs here.

The Bon hopes to place most of those affected in other jobs within the company, said Ed Cooney, senior vice president of personnel. Some of the affected employees may be placed in marketing jobs to be created at The Bon's Tukwila distribution center, he said.

In other business, The Bon announced the appointment of Peter Sachse as senior vice president and general merchandise manager for men's and children's apparel, shoes and fine jewelry.

The Bon also appointed Marj Turner as senior vice president and general merchandise manager for intimate apparel, cosmetics and

accessories.
