Outdoor Gadgets -- New Water Bottle Lets You Keep Fresh, Camel- Style
Gotta have it. Water, that is. And one company is set to see that you're never without it.
From FasTrak Systems, Inc. comes the "Camelbak" rehydration system. That's a fancy name for a water sack, which you strap on your back and drink from through a clear tube.
If you don't mind being watered like a begonia, this could be a boon to cross-country runners, cyclists, in-line skaters and others who want hands-free hydration. Available in three models with capacities from one to two quarts, all selling for about $40. Available at most Seattle bike shops or the factory, 1-800-767-8725.
If it doesn't work, it might serve as a fine back-country whoopee cushion.
