Greenbaum Firm Buys Last Schoenfeld Store

SOUTHCENTER

Greenbaum Home Furnishings of Bellevue has purchased Ken Schoenfeld Furniture, at Southcenter, for an undisclosed price.

Kenneth Greenbaum, Greenbaum president, said the store is the last furniture store owned by Ken Schoenfeld. Greenbaum previously bought out Schoenfeld's other stores. Greenbaum Home Furnishing's legal name is still Ken Schoenfeld Furniture Inc., doing business as Greenbaum Home Furnishings.

Greenbaum already had four stores - in Bellevue, Tacoma, Lynnwood and Bellingham - as well as clearance outlets in Bellevue and Woodinville.

Greenbaum said he expects to hold a sale, starting Jan. 1, to clear out Schoenfeld Furniture's inventory.

He also said there is one Schoenfeld Furniture store left, in Auburn. But that store is owned by Ken Schoenfeld's son, Bob Schoenfeld, and is not involved in the sale.
