Ex-Husky Greenwood Dies
A memorial service for Scott Greenwood, the former University of Washington football player who died Tuesday, is scheduled for 11 a.m. tomorrow at University Presbyterian Church.
Greenwood, who was 35, died of cancer at University Hospital.
Greenwood, recruited out of Ellensburg High School in 1975, was a captain on the Huskies' 1978 Rose Bowl team. The tight end caught 45 passes for 725 yards and six touchdowns during his career.
Greenwood, who graduated from Washington in 1980, was a vice president of Sellen Construction Co.
Survivors include wife Nancy; children Erin and Eric; parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles Greenwood of Grants Pass, Ore.; brother Mark; and sisters Lisa MacKay and Susan Greenwood.
