Bioscan Inc. Of Edmonds Has New Software Version

EDMONDS

BioScan Inc., a developer and marketer of image analysis software, has announced a new version of its OPTIMAS software.

The new version broadens the range of potential uses of image analysis and adds new capabilities such as color analysis, statistical analysis utilities and enhanced data collection and handling tools.

"OPTIMAS has always been the most advanced, easy-to-use image measurement and analysis product in the marketplace. Now, the development of version 4.0 marks the beginning of a new era in image processing, color measurement and analysis," said Thomas Bligh, BioScan president and chief executive officer.

With OPTIMAS software, a user can acquire an image from a device such as a video camera or microscope, freeze the image, enhance it, analyze and understand the information - and store and display the results of the analysis in an industry-standard spreadsheet.

OPTIMAS is used in a variety of ways including medical diagnostic imaging, quality control, natural resource management, forensics and law enforcement.
