Beard Frame Shops Opening New Store At Northgate Mall

Beard Frame Shops Inc., based in Portland, is opening a new store at Northgate Mall.

The store, both a full-service and do-it-yourself framing shop, is the 31st location for Beard Frame Shops. Each store carries framed art, unframed prints and posters and a selection of contemporary and traditional moldings. The stores also carry pre-cut mats and frames in a variety of materials. Beard Frame Shops recently began selling books covering a wide variety of art subjects.

Beard Frame Shops plans to open other new stores but no specific leases have been signed, says John Leahy, manager of the Bellevue Overlake store. The Northgate store will open in late September. Other local locations include shops at Alderwood Mall, Tacoma Mall, Lacey and an outlet in Bellevue, Leahy says.
