Paccar Plans Texas Site For New Peterbilt Hq

Paccar Inc. said it will relocate its Peterbilt Motors Co. division headquarters from California to a location near Dallas.

Bellevue-based Paccar said some 225 jobs will be moved to Denton, Texas, beginning in early spring of 1993. The division was previously located in Newark, Calif.

The move will occur in two phases, with division staff moving in spring and engineering employees moving during the summer. Paccar said the Texas Department of Commerce has estimated the move will result in $50 million in direct and indirect benefits to the Denton

economy.
