Mom Says Simpsons Helped Save Her Son

AUBURN

Karen Bencze says Homer Simpson helped save her 8-year-old son's life.

Bencze said her sons, Alex, 8, and Chris, 10, were home alone after school Friday when Alex began choking on a section of orange and was only able to make gurgling sounds.

Chris got behind his brother and squeezed his chest until the piece of orange popped out.

Chris said he learned how to perform the Heimlich maneuver from an episode of the TV show "The Simpsons."
