Doctors Cited For Inappropriate Treatment

The state Department of Labor and Industries, based on its review program, has issued orders against the following doctors for alleged inappropriate treatment.

Included is the amount of money, including interest, the department is seeking in reimbursement. Pending the outcome of appeals challenging those orders, none of the penalties has been enforced.

With two exceptions, each penalty includes suspension of right to treat injured workers for one year and continuing education requirements.

They are:

James K. Turney, osteopathic physician Seattle $90,289.40.

John Lyzanchuk, osteopathic physician Yakima $67,607.84.

Andrew Isaacs, chiropractor Seattle $76,211.68.

Bruce Barnes, chiropractor Lynnwood $36,575.99.

Dr. Eugene Kearney, chiropractor Bellevue $46,846.71.

Dr. Howard Card, chiropractor Bellingham $31,922.57.

Dr. Clyde B. Johnson, chiropractor Tacoma $30,128.27.

Dr. Michael Arsheed Seattle $50,716.82.

Dr. Gary G.C. Bruner, chiropractor. Kirkland $77,542.12. (Bruner has also had his license to practice suspended by the state Chiropractic Disciplinary Board for unrelated complaints)

Dr. Jack Roberts, chiropractor Belfair, Mason County $82,125.78.

John Vukovich, chiropractor Tacoma, $40,826.70.

James P. Burton, chiropractor Everett, 46,569.28.

Steven J. Zweiner, chiropractor Kennewick $72,458.98.

Leamon C. Sandifer, chiropractor Lacey, Thurston County $66,021.01.

Gary Rock, chiropractor Tacoma $23,472.41. Continuing education requirements, No suspension.
