New Boat-Launch Fees Set At Renton's Coulon Park
RENTON
Spring is here, so it must be boating season.
On April 3, the city of Renton will begin collecting boat-launch fees from noncity residents who use the boat launch at Gene Coulon Park on Lake Washington. It costs $5 to use the boat launch on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. There is no charge for use of the launch on other weekdays.
City residents can pick up a boat-launch sticker good for the whole year. Stickers cost $5 for seniors and $10 for everyone else. They can be purchased at the Renton Community Center, 1715 Maple Valley Highway, with proof of residence such as a property statement or a utility bill.
Parking costs $2 a day, seven days a week.
In April, boat-launch fees will be collected from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Beginning May 1, the boat launch will be open 24 hours a day Friday through Sunday.
After the Memorial Day weekend, the boat launch will be open 24 hours every day.
Overnight moorage for one night is free for residents, $10 for nonresidents. Longer stays must be approved by the harbor master,
235-2560.
