Police: Man Jailed After He Hit Wife With Frozen Squirrel

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - A man who hit his wife with frozen squirrels was jailed on suspicion of spousal abuse, police said yesterday.

Kao Khae Saephan, 26, was arguing with his wife early yesterday morning when he took several frozen squirrels from the kitchen freezer, police spokeswoman Betsy Braziel said.

The woman told police that when she walked in the room, her husband struck her in the head with the squirrels. She fell against a table and suffered a one-inch cut above her eye, Braziel said.

Saephan was booked at county jail.

Police couldn't immediately say why the squirrels were in the

freezer.
