Microwave -- Chunky Cranberry Nut Sauce
The following recipe is from `Microwave Gourmet" by Barbara Kafka. Chunky Cranberry Nut Sauce 3 cups 1 (12-ounce) package cranberries
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cranberry juice
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1 medium orange with peel and pith removed, chopped
1/8 teaspoon salt
1. Combine cranberries, sugar, juice, pecans, orange and salt in 8-cup microwavable glass measuring cup. Microwave at 100 percent power, uncovered for 12 minutes.
2. Transfer to a serving dish. Refrigerate, loosely covered, for 4 to 6 hours or until firm.
