Motel Praised -- Folks Who Run Geisha Inn Gladly Helped A Stranger

While on my way to a performance at the UW on Oct.26, my car became disabled at 97th and Aurora Avenue, and I frantically ran to the nearest motel to call for help. I was fortunate enough to have stopped at the Geisha Inn, where manager Richard Jamieson called a taxi. But when it was going to make me late for the performance, his wife, Debbie, graciously offered to drive me to the university. When I returned three hours later, the Jamiesons and general manager Don Aleman had arranged for a tow truck to bring me back to Lynnwood.

In these days when most of the motels along Aurora Avenue cater to the seamier night life, it is great to know that the Geisha Inn won't rent to prostitutes and druggies, and this well-run family business provides a clean and safe place for travelers to stay. I, of course, am thankful that the staff at the Geisha Inn didn't hesitate to do everything they could to help a stranger in the night and would heartily recommend it to family, friends, and Seattleites who can appreciate a gracious and hospitable staff providing a safe haven on Aurora Avenue.
