Neah Bay Couple Found Shot To Death

PORT ANGELES

A Neah Bay couple were shot to death last night at their home at a local fishing resort, the Clallam County sheriff's office said today.

The victims were identified as Richard James Husband, 56, and his wife, Jari-Ann Husband, 50. Richard Husband's body was found by neighbors at 8:50 p.m. just outside the front door of the couple's mobile home at the Cape Resort.

Her body was found inside, sheriff's Sgt. James Newton said. The FBI, sheriff's office and Neah Bay police were investigating the shooting, which occurred on the Makah Indian Reservation. The Husbands were not members of the tribe.

Pete Hanson, owner of the Far West Resort, said the couple had managed the local Thunderbird Resort until recently, then moved their trailer to the Cape Resort.
