Egghead: New Computers To Help Software Buyers

Responding to the maze of computer software for sale these days, Egghead Discount Software plans to put computers in its stores that help customers sift through the products on the store shelves.

The Issaquah-based retailer of software programs said it signed an agreement with California-based Sellectek Inc., which makes an electronic buyer's guide called "InfoMaster."

The computers are expected to be installed by September. Sellectek said the computers will provide customers and salespersons with descriptions of the software products and enable buyers to compare the various offerings.
