Expanded Drug Emporium Reopens In Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD

An expanded and spruced up Drug Emporium reopened yesterday at 3815 - 196th S.W., here.

The approximately 22,000-square-foot store has been expanded by 6,000 square feet. The remodeled facility features wider aisles, a larger selection of cosmetics and a new pharmacy department. "Our remodeling plans were structured to accommodate the fast-growing South Snohomish/North King County community," says Mike Farmer, store manager.

Drug Emporium is a franchise operation with approximately 200 stores nationwide. Western Drug Distributors Inc. owns the Washington franchise, which includes 11 stores.

Western Drug also plans to remodel its Southcenter and Northgate stores, says Rochelle Klinger, a Western Drug spokesperson. Also, she says, the company will build an additional store in the Edmonds area.
