Vancouver Edges Tacoma In 11 On Pinch Hit

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Pinch-hitter Allen Liebert hit a double to score the winning run in the 11th inning last night as Vancouver downed Tacoma 2-1 in Pacific Coast League baseball.

Tacoma took a 1-0 lead in the second inning when Scott Brosius singled home Brad Komminsk from second.

Derek Lee tied the game for Vancouver on Joe Hall's RBI-double in the sixth.

The Canadians had a chance to win the game in the 10th when Kurt Brown walked and got to third on two groundouts, but he was stranded when Dana Allison struck out Aubrey Waggoner.

Starting pitchers Reggie Harris of Tacoma and Greg Perschke of Vancouver allowed four and three hits, respectively. Brian Drahman, who pitched two hitless innings, got the victory.
