Two Ga. Tech Baseball Stars Are Arrested

ATLANTA - Two Georgia Tech baseball stars, including Andy Bruce, Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year, were arrested yesterday in Tallahassee, Fla., on burglary charges.

Bruce and Darren Bragg were released on $500 bond each after being jailed briefly on charges of grand theft and burglary of an occupied dwelling.

They were suspended from the team, which is in Tallahassee, Florida, for the NCAA Atlantic Regional tournament.

Two Tech football players - last year's leading rusher, William Bell, and James Reese - were arrested by campus security officers yesterday and charged with possession of stolen merchandise, said to be school books.

Thursday night, Atlanta police arrested two other football players - Rich Strohmeier and Bill Neuss after an altercation with a bouncer at a bar near campus.
