John Mcintire, 83, Actor In `Wagon Train'
KALISPELL, Mont. - John McIntire, once the voice of the national radio news broadcast ``March of Time'' and later the wagonmaster on the long-running television series ``Wagon Train,'' died Wednesday of natural causes at age 83.
Mr. McIntire also played supporting roles in such films as ``Psycho,'' ``Rooster Cogburn'' and ``Honky Tonk Man.''
Before World War II, Mr. McIntire's deep, smooth voice became familiar to listeners across the country when he narrated ``March of Time.''
He is survived by his wife, actress Jeanette Nolan, and daughter, Holly. Funeral arrangements were pending.
