Hawaii Car Crash Kills 4 Tourists From Spokane

Four tourists from the Spokane area have been killed in a car accident on Maui.
The victims were killed late Friday morning when the car in which they were riding collided with a small truck on a well-traveled road between Wailuku and Kihei on the western part of the island.
Police identified the victims as Louise Deviny, 63, the driver, and William Deviny, 66, both of Veradale, Spokane County; and Roscoe Ghering, 64, and Bonnie Ghering, 63, both of Spokane.
Witnesses told police the car driven by the tourists drifted into the path of the truck.
The three men in the truck, all 19, were in stable condition at Maui Memorial Hospital.
