B.N. Genius Goods Go On Auction Block

B.N. Genius goods

go on auction block

-- BOTHELL

Tens of thousands of upscale electronic goods once offered for sale at B.N. Genius stores are on the auction block this week as the bankrupt Bothell-based retailer winds up its affairs to pay off creditors.

About 20,000 items hit the auction block today in a sale expected to last all week. The first three days of the auction are devoted entirely to the inventory owned by B.N. Genius, which declared bankruptcy last spring and closed its six retail stores last month.

The last two days of the auction will focus on warehouse and office furnishings and computers, said the James G. Murphy Co. in Bothell, which is conducting the auction.

Bids for individual inventory items are being accepted.

The auction is at the B.N. Genius warehouse in the Koll Business Center near Interstate 405 in Bothell.
